Our offers are presented online. All information is as complete as possible. We do not take responsibility for any misunderstandings or mistakes made in the text. Final agreements will always be made on paper with the people involved. More and more people are moving on 'the Lusitano path', but few have the over 20 years experience we can offer. International and Portuguese studbook shows have been followed since 1990. Unfortunately we can not offer you horses from the lower price range, but all the presented horses have full pedigree papers. We choose for quality and the norms of the main studbook A.P.S.L. in Portugal. We hope to serve you with experienced knowledge and hope that the step to us in the Lusitano world will end up in a big passion.

Our advices are just advices and do not have a veterinary background. We always advise to get a clinical/x-ray check up and to insure the horse from the moment of purchase. We will not be held liable for any visible or invisible physical defect on third party horses. While selling our own horses Dutch/German laws apply.

We gained nice results at the second Dutch Lusitano day at Houten, near Utrecht, see also the 'Intro' page. Winner of the class of ridden stallions of 4-5 years old was Sombrero. He was bought by Mestre João Nunes dos Santos, who has been the teacher and good friend of Gemma van Dijk for nearly 17 years. Mestre João currently has another promising 5 year old in training. The grey stallion Trinco, with a nice size of 165 cm (16.2 hands) of the Oliveira e Sousa stud in Portugal. In case you are interested in this horse you can contact him. In his location in the Algarve, South-Portugal this horse can be seen and tried out. Mestre João has backed and trained many top horses up to an advanced level. He is a real old school Mestre de Equitacão and studied together with the well known Mestre Luis Valenca.

This is another nice place to visit when you are on holiday in the Algarve and wish to see some really good Lusitano horses.
